We only use heirloom, dark blue-green Lacinato Kale because it yields sweeter juice and more chlorophyll than other varieties. You probably already know that Kale is the most nutrient-dense leafy green on the planet, but it also has anti-aging properties with compounds such as quercetin, lutein, and zeaxanthin. It takes nearly a full pound of leaves to yield a half-cup of Kale juice- and we aren't stingy with it either. Each bottle containing Kale has 3-4 ounces of precious leaf juice.
